An NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) IV drip is designed to replenish levels of NAD+, a coenzyme essential for cellular energy production and various biological processes. It is commonly used for its potential to increase energy, enhance cognitive function, and slow down the ageing process. It is a common IV therapy use in longevity and is popular amongst customers who are looking at biohacking methods. To find out more about this drip, side effects and dosages - give us a quick call.
The cost of NAD Therapy depends on the dosage we administer. We offer high doses of NAD for maximum results at 250mg and 500mg. The cost of these are £175 and £250 respectively. These drips can take 90 -120 minutes to administer to give the most comfortable experience with minimal side effects.
NAD Injections Vs IV Drip
What is the difference between an NAD injection vs a drip and which is better? An injection of NAD has a very low dosage and is often termed a "booster shot". The amount of NAD present can be around 60mg which is not a high enough dosage to really create a big change in the cells or the body's overall status. To put it simply, you may not notice any difference with an injection and you would need many injections over a one month period to notice any differences. A IV drip however, contains a much larger dosage which can range from 100mg to 250mg and 500mg. This high dosage delivers a very high dose of NAD directly into the blood stream and straight into the cells, producing a much greater effect and beneficial results.
NAD Infusion Benefits
Cellular Energy & Regeneration: NAD+ is vital for converting nutrients into energy, so replenishing it can enhance overall energy production.
Supports Brain Health: NAD+ is involved in neuro protection and has pathways with dopamine production, this may help improve focus, memory, and cognitive clarity by supporting healthy brain function.
Anti-Aging Benefits: As NAD+ levels decrease with age, replenishing them can promote DNA repair, mitochondrial function, and cellular regeneration, potentially slowing down the aging process.
Aids Muscle Recovery and Athletic Performance: NAD+ can assist with muscle recovery, improve endurance, and enhance physical performance due to its role in cellular repair and energy production.
Supports Detoxification: NAD+ can help restore cellular function and improve detoxification, particularly for individuals recovering from addiction.
What to Expect with NAD Side Effects
NAD and NAD+ can have a few short term side effects that occur during administration. As the IV enters the blood stream it can cause individuals to feel a dizzy and lightheaded. It can cause discomfort in the gut and due to the physical tingling sensations can cause some anxiety.
But not to worry - these side effects are all very minor and short lived - they can be alleviated and prevented or stopped, by simply slowing down the dosage of the NAD and slowing the flow of the drip into the body. If you were to feel these common side effects, by letting us know we could adjust the administration accordingly.
Who is NAD Drip Suitable for?
Individuals Experiencing Fatigue: NAD+ plays a crucial role in energy metabolism. Those dealing with chronic fatigue or low energy levels may find this therapy beneficial.
People Looking to Enhance Cognitive Function: NAD+ supports brain function and may help with mental clarity, focus, and memory, making it suitable for those experiencing cognitive decline or looking to improve brain performance.
Aging Individuals: NAD+ levels naturally decline with age, so older individuals may benefit from this therapy to promote cellular repair, support longevity, and potentially slow down the effects of aging.
Athletes or Those Focused on Performance: Because NAD+ plays a vital role in energy production at the cellular level, it can help athletes or physically active individuals with recovery, endurance, and overall performance.
Individuals looking for Neurological support: There is some evidence suggesting NAD+ may help improve symptoms in neurodegenerative disorders, although more research is needed.
People Undergoing Detoxification: NAD+ can help restore cells and support detoxification, particularly in individuals recovering from substance abuse or alcohol dependence.
NAD+ IV Anecdotal Reports
Our long term customer Jenny has received around 6 sessions of NAD over 4 months. Jenny struggled with long covid and symptoms of fibromyalgia. When receiving the NAD+ drip, she felt light headed, a bit sick and some anxiety, we slowed down the drip so the session took a little longer but was comfortable. After the first session Jenny felt a little more tired and needed to rest, however, by the third session, NAD would give Jenny a lot of energy and also focus, allowing her to complete work tasks alongside her healing and rest. Overall, NAD was part of a larger plan, including high dose vitamin C, which helped Jenny get back to better health and back to her normal life.
"I felt like initially my immune system needed the NAD to function better, and I needed rest. After this, I felt like NAD would give me life. I would be able to go to the gym after my treatment and finally focus on work without brain fog. At first it was uncomfortable - it just felt different and anything going into your body can make you panic. After I got used to that initial feeling, it was absolutely fine!"
